Chris discusses the advance of the transgender movement as a new story has surfaced of a woman who was arrested in the United Kingdom for “misgendering” a man who lives as if he is a woman.  Calling him a “man” when he dresses as a woman is considered a crime in the U.K., as it has also become in the state of New York and in California.  What is the ultimate goal of the LGBT movement where this is concerned?  Also discussed are Nancy Pelosi’s comments about Trump’s proposal of declaring a national emergency in order to fund the Mexican border.  Pelosi warned that a Democratic president could also declare a national emergency over the issue of firearms and the second amendment.  Was she warning of a future attack on the right to bear arms in the U.S.?

Chris plays the audio from a speech given years ago by famed British intellectual and Labour Party leader, Michael Foot, who warned of the dangers of surrounding the power of the vote to the European Union.  While Foot was considered a brilliant orator and man of deep principles, he was also an Atheist and a Socialist.  Perhaps well meaning, but clearly misguided, as many on the left continue to be.  Mr. Foot argued principles of “liberty” while rejecting the original source of liberty, which is the Law of God.  The situation in Britain and the United States begs the question: should non-Christians be permitted to hold government office in historically Christian countries?  What does the Bible say about the requirements for leaders?

Chris discusses the annual World Interfaith Harmony Week observed by the United Nations, in which the various world religions come together for inter-religious dialogue.  The event was actually initiated by King Abdullah II and Prince Ghazi bin Muhammad of Jordan.  But why would Muslims seek interfaith dialogue when they are planning conquer the world in obedience to the teachings of Muhammad?  And how should such movements be viewed by Christians, who are continually told to be careful not to “offend” the Muslims or people of other religions?  Are interfaith movements in accordance with the teachings of Scripture?  In the Old Testament we learn that the children of Israel continually embraced the pagan gods of the ancient world, and were judged by God for it.  According to the Bible, our first cause should be obedience to the commandments of God and the defense of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Chris discusses a new story about the Colorado Senate that has passed a bill designed to undermine the electoral college, in the wake of the 2016 election.  The democrats are still raging about the idea that Hillary supposedly won the popular vote, and so they are looking for a way to change the system.  But what was the original purpose of the electoral college, and how does it protect the interests of all Americans?  Also discussed is the phrase “tyranny of the majority” and how it is used historically.  Right now, it appears that the left wing are attempting to flood our country with illegals and foreigners, for the purpose of transforming our nation into a Socialist society.  But even if a majority of voters want Socialism, does that make it legal to impose such a system in our country?  Does the majority vote determine the course of right and wrong, no matter what?  Or is the majority population restrained in the same way that tyrants and oppressors are restrained?

Chris discusses a new story from the Catholic Herald, about Archbishop Justin Welby, the current Archbishop of Canterbury, who has said that he doesn’t mind if “Anglicans convert to Catholicism.”  The article goes on to reveal that one in 10 Catholic priests in England and Wales were “former Anglican vicars.”  The story is just the latest development in the ongoing Anglo-Catholic movement that can be traced back to the 19th century.  The “Oxford movement” as it was originally called, was the aggressive attempt by Rome and her Jesuit priests to bring the Church of England back to the Pope.  Nineteenth century Protestant author Walter Walsh published his popular work, “The Secret History of the Oxford movement” in which he warned that the Anglican churches in England were “honeycombed” with secret societies working to undermine the historic Protestant faith.
