We recently received the following email from one of our listeners, who found a copy of Albert Mackey's book, "The History of Freemasonry" in the library. On the show, Chris had mentioned that Billy Graham is listed in this book as one of the world's famous Freemasons. But in the copy found by our listener, Graham was not listed in the description. It turns out that our copy if a 1996 edition, which was printed later. For the sake of anyone else who might be wondering about it, we have scanned the book flap and posted it along with this email.
Email to Chris Pinto from Bonnie.
Dear Mr. Pinto,
I have been enjoying your radio show. I found it on the site of
worldview weekend by Brannon Howse. The four shows about freemasonry intrigued me as I know/have known several men who are freemasons and I have always felt uneasy about that organization. I read a book about it by Ed Decker many years ago to understand what it was about. Then I became more than uneasy as I read what he wrote. I paid particular attention to your take on it. I have also heard Ron Carlson speak about freemasonry. I checked out the book The History of Freemasonry by Albert Mackey (the one you referenced on your program which was part 4 of the series on Freemasonry) from our local public library. This book does not have a flap but rather an introduction page and it starts out word for word what you read on your radio show at the 29-30 minute part of the program. However, it doesn't list Billy Graham, Henry Ford, Mark Twain, Arnold Palmer or Tony Blair. It does list George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, John Hancock, Benjamin Franklin, Paul Revere, Simon Bolivar, Giuseppe Garibaldi, Voltaire, Goethe, Franz Joseph Haydn and Amadeus Mozart. This book has the same sub title It's Legendary Origins, and there is no flap as it is a navy blue padded covered book. The copyright says it is 1966 for the introduction, which is by Random House Value Publishing, Inc. (published by Gramercy, a division of Random House). I'm wondering what is up with this. The reason I checked this out was due to what you'd said about Billy Graham. I know a lot of people think the world of Billy Graham. I'm not one of them. Therefore, when you said it was reported through the Freemasons that he was one of them, I found that very interesting and wanted to check it out. Now I'm kind of confused because this book doesn't match up with what you reported. Enough said there. On to one more thing---
your dvd's. I own 5 of them and have watched 3 so far. I hope to finish the other 2 this weekend. They are excellent. I want to keep these since I did purchase them, but I'm going to try and get some in the future for our church library as I'd like others to be able to view them, also, and I find that sharing doesn't always mean you'll get them back (so I'm going to be selfish and keep mine!). Since I'm one of the librarians I'll have a voice in what product to procure in the future and these are well documented and very professionally filmed. They are extremely better than most of the documentaries out there, so please keep up the good work. I hope Tares Among the Wheat will be coming out soon.
May God bless you in your endeavors,
Bonnie

Equally disconcerting is the cover of Tim LaHaye's Book "Power of the Cross" --- of all the images to choose from, he chooses the Knight's Templar "Crown and Cross" symbol to put on the cover of his book --- call me crazy, but that is very curious if you ask me.

What evidence is there that Billy Graham is a freemason other than maybe somebody had on a list? As far as Tim LaHaye goes, it was my understanding that in his book series about the end times, he suggests in one of the stories that even though a Christian took the mark of the beast he could be forgiven. That is not biblical.
Your bigotry is astounding. You claim to be a former Catholic. But as far as I can tell you are a pathological liar with bizzare delusions. Perhaps you need medication. The Masons do more good promoting brotherhood of men of all faiths than you or you fantasizing ilk have ever done. (PLEASE NOTE: the rest of this post was deleted due to its obscene content).
