Today's Show: WHEN THE SAINTS SHALL TAKE THE KINGDOM
Chris discusses end time prophecy and Scriptures from Revelation and the book of Daniel that foretell the time that the "saints of the Most High" shall take (or receive) the Kingdom (Daniel 7:18). The Scripture also says that the kingdoms of this world will become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ (Revelation 11:15). But when (in the timeline of prophecy) will this be? And how will it come about? How do modern views of prophecy differ from what Christians in centuries past believed?

Have you ever thought about the timing of the Lord's coming from a strategic perspective? That's the way I look at it. From God's perspective: "...every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time." (Gen 6:5) Then in Gen 11:3,6-7 man discovered that tar could be used as mortar (which provides greater tensile strength enabling taller structures, one of man's first technical innovations). As Dave Hunt points out, God's profound perspective on man's innovation in this passage is that, "...nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them. Come let us confuse their language..." This slowed man's technical progress preventing him from developing weapons of mass destruction until the 20th century. It's only a matter of time before evil man destroys the world with them. Man's solution to this problem is globalism which God also foresaw in prophecy. Implicit in Gen 6:5,11:6-8 is God's taking steps to slow an inevitable self-destruction of man's own making. 2 Pet 3:9 says, "The LORD is... patient... not wanting anyone to perish..." When considering what believers should do, I suggest considering this passage over the fullness of time. God created a world that He knows man will destroy, given enough time. The longer the world can stay in business, the more souls will be born and the more souls will have an opportunity to be saved. The longer the body of Christ can maintain a bulwark against the kingdom of Antichrist the more thoroughly she serves the LORD'S intent of not wanting anyone to perish.
