The opening chapter of Romans details the decline of the Gentile world that had once known God, but then exchanged the truth of God for a lie. Their stubborn betrayal of the Creator ultimately caused them to be given over to increasing levels of depravity and ruin. Is the United States facing the systematic decline described by Paul in this epistle? Is the Western world currently falling into the trap that has corrupted civilization since ancient times?
