Today's Show: INDEPENDENCE DAY - 7.3.2017

Chris discusses the annual celebration of July 4th in remembrance of the drafting of the Declaration of Independence.  A series of events led up to the declaration, which was not officially signed until August of that year.  So how was the date of July 4th chosen?  And has it always been celebrated as a national holiday?  Also discussed is the timeline of events leading up to the American Revolution -- from the Boston Massacre to the Boston Tea Party, along with the Battles of Lexington and Concord, to the publication of Common Sense -- all of which preceded the publication of the Declaration in 1776.
