NOTR - Christianity, The Bible & War - 5.7.18

Today's Show: CHRISTIANITY, THE BIBLE & WAR  - 5.7.2018

Chris discusses the much debated topic of how the New Testament relates to the Christian in time of war.  In particular, a sermon from a American Revolutionary minister named Simeon Howard is reviewed, with powerful insights as to how our forefathers viewed the issue.  Did early American ministers believe that Christians should not be involved in warfare?  Did they believe that bearing arms was a right?  Or a duty in the sight of God?  Did the Puritans really make believers pay a fine if they showed up at church on Sunday without a firearm?
