Today's Show: THE POPE & THE DEATH PENALTY - 8.10.2018

Chris discusses the ongoing story of the opposition of Pope Francis to the death penalty.  The Pope has called for an international ban on capital punishment, calling it “inhumane.”  But is his view in agreement with the Bible?  Why did God command the death penalty in the Old Testament?  Is this punishment somehow removed in the New Testament?  The Scripture says that “by fear of the Lord men depart from evil.”  (Proverbs 16:6) But what happens to a society when that fear of punishment is removed?  Critics of Pope Francis have argued that the Pope has effectively changed “2,000 years of teaching” and is in direct opposition to the commandments of God and the Bible.
