Chris discusses the history of the progressive movement in the United States, along with the warnings from the book, "None Dare Call it Treason" by John Stormer.  In the 1960's Stormer traced the movement back to the very beginning of the 20th century, and the Fabian Socialist Society, whose aim was the spread of Communism -- not by outright revolution -- but by gradual reform.  Is Stormer's description a blueprint for what is happening in America today?

(Psalm 119:110)  Chris discusses the current wave of anti-Christian sentiment that seems to be growing in our country and around the world.  At every turn, it appears that powers hostile to Christianity are determined to find ways to outlaw traditional values and beliefs.  But the Scripture tells us there is nothing new under the sun, and provides us with a number of examples of how God's enemies have plotted against the righteous, and laid snares for them -- only to be overthrown in due time.  Chris covers examples concerning David, Daniel and Esther that are powerful demonstrations of God's help and deliverance.

Chris discusses a series of stories, including Donald Trump's declaration against what he called "the false song of globalism."  Also discussed is the current situation with Brexit -- the upcoming vote in the U.K. about whether or not Britain will leave the European Union.  Current polls are strongly in favor of the "leave" vote.  Are Britons being emboldened by Trump's M.A.G.A. (make America great again) movement in the U.S.?  With all the mayhem generated from the mass immigration of Muslims into the West, not to mention the ongoing Islamic persecution of Christians around the world -- the Pope has been called a "friend of Islam" by a Vatican expert.  Meanwhile, a former Catholic priest reports that Rome's support of Islam can be traced to Vatican Council II.

Chris discusses a recent story from Breitbart that reveals Pope Francis "probably" dislikes both America and Americans -- according to a Vatican insider.  More specifically "conservative" Americans are the Pope's real problem.  Could the Pope's membership in the Jesuit Order have something to do with it?  Early American history reveals that Jesuits sought to claim the new world for the Pope, but were thwarted by English Protestantism.  In fact, when the Puritans came to America, their original purpose was to preach the Gospel and to "raise a bulwark against the kingdom of Antichrist, which the Jesuits labor to rear up in those parts."

Today's Show: THE OFFENSE OF THE GOSPEL

Chris discusses a new story about how the Archbishop of Canterbury has told Christians in the U.K. that they should not share their faith unless asked about it.  The apparent context of his comments had to do with an ecumenical gathering of leaders from different faiths (Muslims, Hindus, etc.,) and so Christians were instructed not to offend the unbelievers.  The U.K. Express reported, "Christians ordered  to keep faith quiet ..."  But is such an approach in keeping with a Biblical standard?  How did the apostles witness in the first century?  Did they keep quiet in the face of idolatry?  Or did they speak against it?  Jesus warned that believers would be hated by all men for His name's sake (Matthew 10:22).  How is the politically correct ecumenical movement impacting the Gospel?  "For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ ..." (Romans 1:16)

NOTR - The Pope, Islam & European Union - 5.19.16

Today's Show: THE POPE, ISLAM & EUROPEAN UNION

Chris discusses recent comments by Pope Francis who compared the world domination plan of ISIS to the message of Christ who sent His followers into all the world.  Francis spoke against "colonialism" and encouraged the "inter-breeding" of Arabs with Europeans in order to combat the population decline in European countries.  His comments have been compared to those of Islamic leaders who are calling for Muslims to "conquer" the countries of Western Europe.  Also discussed is the new documentary "Brexit," a film about whether or not Britain should leave the European Union.  The film was produced in conjunction with the upcoming vote in June, when Britons will decide the fate of their country for the next generation ... whether to leave the EU or not.
