NOTR - Christianity & Islam - 5.4.16

Today's Show: CHRISTIANITY & ISLAM

Chris discusses the history of conflicts between Christianity and Islam,
focusing on the Fall of Cyprus to the Turks in 1571.   Also discussed is
the conflict in Sudan, a country once governed by Christians who have now
become the minority to the Muslims who immigrated into their country over
a long period of time.  The lessons of the past continue to be a warning
to the Western world even today.

NOTR - Elections, Globalism & Jesuits - 4.27.16

Today's Show: ELECTIONS, GLOBALISM & JESUITS

Chris discusses the controversies with the current election cycle and how the establishment powers seem to be attempting to stop the will of the people, by opposing outsider candidates.  But is this only happening in America?  A new article from Breitbart reveals that the same manipulations against outsider candidates is happening in countries around the world.  In France, England and Austria -- candidates who oppose a flood of immigrants coming into their country are suppressed by establishment powers.  Also discussed is the role of the Jesuits in the history of globalism, a role that Georgetown University now openly admits.

NOTR - Faith & The Foundation of Freedom - 4.21.16

Today's Show: FAITH & THE FOUNDATION OF FREEDOM

Chris discusses how the Protestant Reformation gave birth (through the Gospel) to the principles of freedom of conscience.  Martin Luther's declaration that his conscience was bound by the Word of God seems to have laid the foundation in modern times, along with Luther's teaching that men should not be "constrained" or forced to believe against their will.  The Scripture tells us that it pleased God that by the "foolishness of preaching" (1 Corinthians 1:21) men should be brought to salvation.  In his book on "Christ and Civilization" author John W. Robbins provides powerful insights into the building blocks of what we know as the free world.

NOTR - Wycliffe & Government of the People - 4.14.16

Today's Show: WYCLIFFE & GOVERNMENT OF THE PEOPLE

Chris discusses the story of John Wycliffe who was known as the Morning Star of the Protestant Reformation, and his influence in the Western world.  A tradition says that the phrase, "Government of the people, by the people, for the people," was originally taken (by Abraham Lincoln) from the Wycliffe Bible of 1384.  While the phrase is widely attributed to Wycliffe, some have questioned it.  Was the man who so greatly inspired a revolution in obedience to the Word of God really responsible for such an influential idea?

NOTR - Morality & The Constitution - 4.8.16

Today's Show: MORALITY & THE CONSTITUTION

Chris discusses the saying of John Adams, who maintained that the Constitution of the United States was intended for a moral and religious people.  Adams even went so far as to say that it would be wholly inadequate to the government of any other.  What did he mean?  And could this be a key to understanding the breakdown of our society today?  Also discussed are further history lessons from the book, "Christ and Civilization" by John W. Robbins.  How has Christianity impacted the work ethic and industry of mankind since the Reformation?

NOTR - The Courts of the Unrighteous - 4.7.16

Today's Show: THE COURTS OF THE UNRIGHTEOUS

Chris discusses 1 Corinthians chapter six and the Apostle Paul's warning to the church about going before the "courts of the unjust" rather than the saints.  Is this a principle that is only to be obeyed within the Church community?  Also discussed is more of the writing of John W. Robbins on the impact of Christianity and Civilization.  Robbins reveals how the concept of giving absolute power to the State is of Pagan origin, presenting a sharp contrast to the influence of the teachings of Christ.
