Thank you, Noise of Thunder, for posting this most informative video on your site. It reveals the error of one of Rome's most fundamental claims; that they have been authorized (since Constantine) to wage war in the name of Christ. I believe that this video has immense application for Christians here in the United States. Rome's error is perpetuated as people continue to believe that weaponry, rather than the meekness of our Savior, represents God's will for us. Embracing the second amendment, rather than the meekness of our Savior, may extinguish any genuine Christianity left in the United States. The weapons of our warfare are not carnal. It is one thing to understand this very valuable video; it is another to learn from it. To recognize that our citizenship is not here on earth, and that therefore God would would have us take up arms (John 18:36, Rev. 13:10).
Unfortunately, Mr Porritt, the last two centuries have shown that governments have been the primary murderer of their own peoples. It is necessary to defend yourself from anyone who is trying to murder you. Government under God is a terror unto evil works but when it becomes the opposite, we are to be meek like Jesus and denounce it. Meekness is not pacifism in the face of an aggressive attacker. Arms are merely tools which can be used for evil or good. When a population or ethnic group is denied the right to arms for self-protection, a genocide is likely to be the final result. Keep an eye on South Africa and the severe firearm restrictions white Afrikaaners have vs other ethnic groups in country.
The Second Amendment is an acknowledgement that the right to keep and bear arms is from God and cannot be divorced from the People by the means of man. Many people I know do give it more exaltation (and these people tend to atheism and agnosticism) than the God who has provided it. We have unjust rulers because the people at large are unjust and rebellious to God. Genuine Christianity existed before the Bill of Rights and will continue to exist after the Bill is fully extinguished by the burgeoning military police state that grows around us. Confusing what can be needed to preserve your body's life vs the spiritual powers we face against as Christians is a poor fallacy against the bearing of arms.

Please allow me to correct my post above. In the final sentence I meant to say that God would NOT have us take up arms.
