Today's Show: JULY FOURTH & POLITICAL PROTESTANTISM - 7.4.2022
Chris discusses the Fourth of July holiday and how it came about, with the drafting of the declaration of Independence, which was confirmed on July 4, 1776. However, many Americans are unaware that the document itself was signed on August 2nd, some weeks later. The day before (August 1st), Samuel Adams gave a speech in which he declared that "Political Protestantism" would henceforth reign in America. We discuss some of the details of this forgotten declaration from one of our nation's most important founding fathers.
