NOTR - Islamophobia: Doorway to Sharia - 1.30.17

Today's Show: ISLAMOPHOBIA: DOORWAY TO SHARIA

Chris discusses a new story about how Canada is progressing towards outlawing so-called "Islamophobia" -- the allegedly irrational fear that causes people to speak against Islam.  In America, the Democratic party also attempted to pass such a law with H.R. 569 that would have condemned "hateful rhetoric towards Muslims in the United States."  While this attempt at imposing a covert form of Sharia has been shelved in our country, it appears to be making headway north of the border.  Could such a law eventually be adopted in America?

NOTR - Trump & The Counter Reformation - 10.18.16

Today's Show: TRUMP & THE COUNTER REFORMATION

A TIME magazine article calls the Trump/Pence ticket "the most Anti-Catholic Republican ticket in modern history."  Is Trump facing such vehement opposition (from seemingly all sides) because his proposed policies are in direct conflict with elements of the Counter Reformation?

NOTR - Jesuits, Past & Present - 8.5.16

Today's Show: JESUITS, PAST & PRESENT

Chris discusses more on the influence of Jesuits in America today, while looking backwards in time at their working in the past.  Incredibly, the modern tolerance movement (by which many subversive ideas are normalized in society) can be traced to the Counter Reformation and the methods of the Jesuits in opening a door for themselves in Protestant England.  The lessons of King James II and the Glorious Revolution of 1688 find meaning even today.

NOTR - The Pope Apologizes to Protestants - 2.3.16

Today's Show: THE POPE APOLOGIZES TO PROTESTANTS

Chris discusses a series of apologies given by Pope Francis to the Protestant communities.  In particular, Francis offered an apology to the Waldensian Church -- that was persecuted for centuries by Rome, with a haunting massacre in 1655 that was immortalized in a poem by John Milton.  The current apology from the Pope stands in stark contrast to a previous apology given by Pope John Paul II in the year 2000, which was questioned by some.  What is the difference today?  And does such an apology amount to the possibility of ecumenical unity?  Or are the conflicting doctrines concerning the Gospel an impassible barrier between Evangelicals and Rome?
